City of New Westminster Election Office is now open to the public

New Westminster – The City of New Westminster Election Office is now open to the public Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and is located at New Westminster City Hall, 511 Royal Avenue. 

Election Office staff will assist electors, candidates and the general public with their questions about the upcoming general local and school elections taking place on Saturday, November 15, 2014.  New Westminster electors can register online to vote or change their name and address before September 23^rd by visiting the Elections BC website at www.elections.bc.ca  or by phoning 1-800-661-8683.  Election Office staff will assist with registering those who cannot access the Elections BC website. 

The candidate nomination period begins on September 30, 2014 at 9:00 am and closes on October 10, 2014 at 4:00 pm. An official declaration of candidates will follow shortly after the nomination period closes.
