New Westminster – The City of New Westminster’s Anvil Centre invites the community to celebrate National Culture Days and its fifth birthday at their Culture Forward event on Saturday, September 28, 2019, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. The event will be a chance for the attendees to enjoy exciting cultural programming, performances, tours, workshops, and exhibitions throughout the venue and to see how the venue can be used by the arts, culture, and heritage community in New Westminster.

“Culture Forward will be a great way to for people to check out all the exciting things happening in our arts and culture community,” said Mayor Jonathan X. Coté. “I hope our community will be inspired to see how the spaces at Anvil Centre can come alive for arts, culture, and heritage programming.”

 Attendees will get the chance to give their feedback on arts, culture, and heritage in the community, get informed on the City’s new arts and theatre strategies, engage with local cultural organizations, enjoy programming throughout the venue, and celebrate Anvil Centre’s fifth birthday with cake.
