As part of the WALK30 Challenge, Mayor Patrick Johnstone is hosting a Walk with the Mayor. Join the Mayor to walk different neighbourhoods in New West and chat about the City and more. Walks times vary from 25 – 45min and will take place rain or shine! No registration is required, just show up at the starting point at the appointed time.

 

On April 1, meet at Ryall Park (Salter Street entrance) at 10:30am. The walking route will be along South Dyke Rd. The gentle walk along the riverfront, with its peaceful views, trees, and access to nature gives a chance to reflect on the mental health benefits of access to nature, even in a dense residential neighbourhood. 

 

The route is approximately 45mins and is a 3km loop with generally flat grades
