Join us at the Great Grandmother Tree and Spiral to the Sky temporary art installations during the New Westminster Culture Crawl. Meet the curator, Nadine Spence, and witness and learn about the importance of the Naka'pamux and Coast Salish tribes' deep connection to the lands of their downriver relatives, from our xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) families. All are welcome.

 

The public is invited to bring a small, natural, plant-based offering  for the Great Grandmother Tree, which will be used to create the Spiral to the Sky. 

 

You are also welcome to trade natural, handmade, or earth-friendly items with other community members.
