Queensborough Community Centre, 920 Ewen Ave, New Westminster, Gathering at the corner of Ewen Ave and Carter St
Join us for a rewarding morning outdoors and help make a positive impact on our local environment! The City of New Westminster Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with Ocean Wise, invites volunteers to take part in an invasive species removal and native planting event.

Together, we’ll be removing invasive Himalayan blackberry and planting a variety of native plant and tree species that support local wildlife, improve habitat health, and strengthen our urban ecosystem. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to get your hands dirty and help out! All ages and abilities welcome!

Tools, gloves (bring your own if you have them!), and guidance will be available on site.

Subway sandwiches, timbits and coffee provided!

Please join us in appropriate clothing and footwear as the event will take place rain or shine.

This is a great opportunity to connect with your community, learn about invasive species and restoration, and contribute directly to a greener, healthier New Westminster. Volunteers of all experience levels are welcome.
