Downtown's Living Room
February 9, 2026
5:30 pm
8:00 pm
Anvil Centre, 777 Columbia Street
For this edition of Downtown’s Living Room, join us for a community celebration of creativity, resilience, and living culture presented by the Spirit of the Children Society.

The Spirit of the Elders Market features handcrafted works created by Urban Indigenous Elders who gather weekly to share meals, stories, and skills. Through beading, doll-making, traditional regalia making, and other culturally rooted arts and crafts, Elders share their knowledge, resilience, and connection to community. Each piece reflects lived experience, tradition, and the strength that comes from sharing gifts with one another.

By attending the market, you are supporting Elders who are living away from their home communities and helping sustain a space where healing, connection, and cultural continuity can flourish. This is an opportunity to meet the artists, learn about their work, and take home a hand crafted item made with care, meaning, and purpose.

All are welcome. Celebrate Indigenous creativity and be part of a community grounded in respect, learning, and connection.

Downtown’s Living Room runs Monday nights at 5:30 PM. This is your chance to come hang out, relax, make new friends and enjoy different activities on offer.
