Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project

After 89 years of service, the Pattullo Bridge is now permanently closed to all vehicle traffic.

All four lanes on the new stal̕əw̓asəm Bridge will be open to traffic beginning Feb. 14 at approximately 7 a.m.

The sidewalk on the Pattullo Bridge will remain open to pedestrians and cyclists until the morning of February 17. Pedestrians and cyclists are asked to remain on the sidewalk.

Removal of the Pattullo Bridge is scheduled to begin in late February with the removal of a section of the Pattullo Bridge over Columbia Street and the construction of the new Columbia on-ramp and E. Columbia multi-use path overpass. This work requires the following traffic changes:

1. Closure of the existing Columbia Street loop-ramp to the Pattullo Bridge – starting Saturday, February 14.
2. A local closure of Columbia Street between McBride Boulevard and Elliot Street for approximately four to six weeks – starting February 26. Drivers will be detoured to Royal Avenue or Front Street.

Columbia Street between 6th and Elliot will remain open for local traffic and access to all businesses on Columbia Street and Front Street Mews will be maintained at all times.
