Keary Street closure August 24 to September 21
Update: August 25, 2026
There will be single-lane alternating traffic on Keary Street on August 27 and 28.
There will be a full road closure of Keary Street starting August 31 in front of 230 Keary Street between Brunette Avenue and East Columbia Street. This closure will allow Wesgroup to build the pedestrian bridge connecting Royal Columbian Hospital and 230 Keary Street.
- Dates: August 24 to September 21
- Work hours: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, weekdays only
- The entrance to the hospital parkade will remain open via Brunette Avenue. You can also access the parkade from the Jim Pattison Acute Care Tower entrance on Sherbrooke Street.

Phase two was completed in May 2026 with the opening of the Jim Pattison Acute Care Tower.
Phase three of the redevelopment project will upgrade and expand areas in the existing Health Care Centre and Columbia Tower to support the beds and services added in phase two. Phase three is projected to continue until 2029.
Standard construction hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm (except holidays) and Saturday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.
