Recreation registered programs, drop-in services, and facilities will operate as usual on September 19, no cancellations will be made.  

Additional Services 

Day Camps - To support families in the community, Day Camp Kids and Day Camp Junior time have been programmed and will be available for registration for residents on Thursday, September 15, 12:00 pm, and Friday, September 16 at 8:30 am for everyone. 

Youth Services – Youth drop-in will be open for extended hours: Youth Services will be open to youth 13 - 18 years, for extended hours. Watch the Queen’s funeral, or just hang out!

New West Youth Centre                       1:00 - 9:00 pm
Queensborough Community Centre     2:00 - 5:00 pm 

In recognition of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Parks and Recreation will broadcast the TV coverage of the funeral in the lobby of Queen’s Park Arena, Moody Park Arena, Century House, and Queensborough Community Centre. Audio may not be available at all locations. Closed captioning will be used if available.
