Pink Shirt Day - February 28
On February 28, the Parks and Recreation department will recognize Pink Shirt Day, Canada’s national anti-bullying day. We encourage all patrons to join in wearing pink when visiting our facilities.
The department will also acknowledge Pink Shirt Day and actively promote kindness and inclusion in the following ways:
- Youth Services will feature Make & Trade Friendship Bracelets at Youth Drop-in, Wednesday, February 28. 3:00 - 9:00 pm. Bead with your bestie, choose a colour story for your bracelet, select interesting beads to make a unique pattern, or spell out a word. Trade your finished bracelets with new and old friends. Youth Drop-in Admission fees apply.
- Senior Services will be sharing information our peer-to-peer anti-bullying education program in the Century House lounge, DAY, TIME. Wear a pink shirt and be entered to win a prize!
- Arena staff will wear pink on and off the ice at Moody Park Arena and Queen’s Park Arena.
- Gymnastics and Trampoline staff at Queen’s Park Sportsplex will be wearing pink and invite participants to join them!
