December 2025 - The City of New Westminster has released the Climate Ready New Homes Bulletin to support the building community in meeting energy efficiency, emissions, and overheating protection requirements for new residential construction.

The bulletin outlines expectations to help streamline building permit submissions, reviews, and approvals. It will come into effect on February 1, 2026.
