When it comes to housing, the City of New Westminster has a lot on the go! The City is consulting on a range of housing initiatives that will enable more homes that meet the diverse needs of the community through changes to the Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw.

These are the primary tools used to regulate what type of housing (e.g. apartment, townhouse, or duplex) is allowed where, and how big or tall it is allowed to be. The coming changes will impact many properties in the city through varying housing initiatives, such as Transit Oriented Development Areas, Townhouses, Infill Housing, and Non-Profit Affordable Housing.
