WALK30: Walk with the Mayor
April 8, 2026
5:00 pm
6:00 pm
Port Royal neighbourhood, New Westminster
As part of the WALK30 Challenge, Mayor Johnstone is hosting weekly walks. Walk different neighbourhoods around New Westminster, chat about the City, and get your steps in!

Walks take place rain or shine. No registration necessary—just show up at the starting point at the scheduled time.

On Wednesday April 8, join Mayor Patrick Johnstone on a scenic walk along the Fraser River in Queensborough. Chat about flood preparation, the evolution of industrial to residential areas, and the Q2Q Ferry!

About the Route

This accessible route is approximately 40 minutes, and is a 2.6km loop with some uneven surfaces, but generally flat grades.

The walk begins at the Queensborough Q2Q Ferry dock and follows the Komogata Maru Perimiter Trail before heading north onto the Stanley Street Greenway. It continues east alone Ewen Avenue, then north on Furness Street before following the Queensborough Perimeter Trail back to the ferry dock.
