Daytime Warming Centres

For 2026 the Daytime Warming Centre is located at 658 Clarkson Street (the Union Gospel Mission)

Daytime Warming Centres are activated in specific conditions:

• When temperatures are at or below 2 degrees Celsius
• There is heavy rain, in combination with low temperatures at or below 2 degrees Celsius
• There are three or more days or rain creating conditions where it is difficult for people to keep dry
• There is snow accumulation
• There are sustained or steady winds of 70 km/h or wind gusts up to 90 km/h that present a risk to those living outdoors

When the above conditions are met, the Daytime Warming Centre will be open between 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM weekdays.

Guests can come inside, dry off/get warm, and access resources including showers, washrooms, coffee, drinks, food, and clothing.
