In summer 2025, the City of New Westminster introduced a pilot project for Westminster Pier Park to address various concerns. The City is now expanding the program to support all city parks, with Westminster Pier Park and the Riverfront spaces remaining a primary focus. The Park Liaison Officer (PLO) Program is designed to ensure that parks remain welcoming, vibrant and safe for everyone.
