About City Advisory Groups

The City is looking for volunteers to serve on the following five groups starting new terms in 2027:

• Accessibility Advisory Committee
• Advisory Planning Commission
• Arts, Culture, and Economic Development Advisory Committee
• Board of Variance
• Community Heritage Commission 

About Library Board Trustees

The New Westminster Public Library seeks to develop a Board whose members represent a diversity of culture and community, knowledge and experience, and who are passionate about inspiring curiosity, transforming lives, and empowering everyone in our community. 

Key dates

• Tuesday, September 8: applications open for both City Advisory groups and Library Board Trustees.
• Thursday, October 1: in-person and online (hybrid) information session at 6:00 PM. Attendees must register. 
• Tuesday, October 20: Library Board Trustee applications close.
• Tuesday, November 3:  Advisory Group applications close.
