
New Westminster, B.C., Canada – The City of New Westminster is pleased to announce the appointment of Natalie Froehlich (she/her) as the City’s new Chief Financial Officer/Director of Finance and Information Technology. Natalie is an accomplished financial professional with diverse experience across several sectors, and holds a Chartered Professional Accountant designation. Natalie will begin her role with the City on May 11, 2026.
Over the course of her career, Natalie has honed her expertise in financial management and strategic planning across multiple industries. Since 2021, she held the position of Director of Financial Planning and Analysis with the Vancouver Park Board where she was responsible for managing finances, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial and improvement guidance to the senior leadership team.
Prior to her work with the Park Board, Natalie spent many years in the health care industry, where she was Director of Business Planning first at Health Shared Services BC, then for both BC Children’s and Women’s Hospital and Health Care, leading their financial planning, reporting, and budget oversight.
