Additionally, the connection between the Central Valley Greenway and the Brunette Fraser Regional Greenway is an important active transportation route requiring safety upgrades.

Included as a part of these upgrades are:

  1. Install a new bicycle crossing adjacent to the pedestrian crossing of East Columbia Street.
  2. Replace the existing East sidewalk along East Columbia with a new multi-use path (MUP).
  3. Replace the existing sidewalk along ramp access to Sapprton Landing Park with a new multi-use path (MUP).
  4. Install two new raised crossing surfaces across the ramp driveway to Sapperton Landing Park.
  5. Install new railway warning system equipment.
  6. Install a new raised crossing surface across the parking lot access to Sapperton Landing Park.
