In September 2021, Wait for Me Daddy received conservation treatment. The sculpture was washed and all grime, bird guano and corrosion were removed. The bronze frieze was sealed with a UV resistant lacquer and both bronze and stainless steel components were coated with a clear paste wax to protect the surfaces from atmospheric pollutants and other unwanted accretions.
