17. Q2Q Pedestrian and Cycling Link

A direct pedestrian and bicycle link between the Quayside and Queensborough neighbourhoods is a long-standing City priority, connecting a large number of local and regional destinations, including high density residential and employment centres, and providing better access to frequent transit service. The Q to Q Ferry, which launched in May 2018, offers a convenient way for people who are walking or cycling to travel between Queensborough and Downtown. The concept of a Q2Q Bridge was studied carefully, and remains a long-range consideration, but at this time the funding required to achieve it is beyond the City’s capacity.
