Sixth Avenue between 18th Street and 20th Street will be closed for 6-8 weeks starting on January 19, 2026. This closure is required to complete sewer separation work. 

Traffic Impacts

• Full road closure of Sixth Avenue between 20th Street and 18th Street, 24/7
• Buses that normally run along Sixth Avenue will be re-routed to Eighth Avenue and return to their normal route at 12th Street. The #101 and #155 routes will be affected. 
• Some on-street parking will be removed temporarily during this period. The City's Transportation division will be monitoring the parking situation and modified as needed. 
• Traffic control personnel and signage will be in place to maintain safety.
